When I got to high school, I share with other teachers in a meeting in the teachersroom.
In the classroom, students are scheduled to guide work on this simple, It's a grade directly to the classbook.
They begin to work with the first part of the worksheet. The teacher explains the instructions, and while I write the vocabulary on the board.
It is a work in pairs (2) and the estimated time for the development of the worksheet is 2 classes, but this time is not enough, so the teacher gives them one more class.
The teacher gives me directions, I have only to answer questions about vocabulary, review and help with grammatical structure, affirmative, questions, and negative form about present simple.
They work quietly in class and finish the worksheets, while I review and give grades for the previous worksheets.
Despite that they finish their guides, I can feel and see that they do not master the knowledge.
But, undoubtedly, I think that "There is nothing is more deficient, and misleading, that a grade to learn about the progress of a student."
